A very bad plan

If the management intends to additionally overload those who are not laid off, I think it is a very bad plan. But it looks like that's exactly what they're up to?

The Plan To Distribute The Increaseing Work to Remaining Employees will Not Work if Employees do not Give into Fear. The Layoffs and (MIS)communication Are a Plan to create Fearful Compliant employees.

Generally speaking that is what usually happens. But it doesn't need tbe that way

I heard the reporting line with be tightened. budgeting will become more important. But also that is the weak point. And budget is one thing easy to hijack you just have to stand your ground with your people. And that's the most important part: ensuring a good work culture or at least what we can rescue. Also that is needed to be productive after all. No one wants to return to handwritten mails just because equity says Google Worksuite is to expensive 🫰

On the other hand: if people post their severence pay / band here it will be harder for them to layoff the next round with less money.

For everything else see CIA or FBi guidelines on hi------g. Knowledge is power. Win knowledge about their plan.

Elliot is known for slicing and dicing companies they acquired. There's no way the layoff is over. The later you get laid off, the worse the severance package. It's better to get laid off in the very first wave, when the company is still generous with the packages.
