It has been the case so far, some of the best people were shown the door in every layoff so far, so I don't see why it would suddenly change. Not as if we suddenly got better management or plaything.
Does a cat have a tail? So, a lot of older 50s had come to Devon from previous companies. Less than 10 years at Devon. They did not get accelerated retirement.

Any attorney worth their salt can get through the signing. No signing can defeat a class action lawsuit.

I was around last time and was not aware that the “vast majority” of people in their 59s got excelerated retirement.
But to answer the OP, many “older” people that I’ve spoken to here have mentioned they’re afraid of being let go due to their age- because of what happened in 2016. I guess we’ll find out next week.
