Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel's Core Principle is Profit Over People

Intel currently has the WORST management and "leadership" I've ever seen in my life! It's comprised of lying, manipulative, backstabbing, depraved, globalist, corporate-fascism-sympathizing morons that know nothing about managing anything except their immoral demonic doctrine whose core principle is "Profit Over People". Many Focal reports were directed to be falsified, with the explicit blessing of HR, to enable such a large layoff number. It is Crony Capitalism utilizing immoral and unjust practices to profit those sanctioning these practices, from HR all the way to the CEO. Pursue the facts and connect the dots throughout the last decade and even those that have never worked there will be able to form a clear and concise picture of exactly what has been stated above. The company is doomed to go belly-up if it continues the current practice of removing it's most skilled professionals and replacing them with ones that are paid less that have little to no experience knowledge of chip production. The knowledge base has been eroded away to, quite possibly, less than is sustainable with this last round of cuts. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if I woke up to see a bankruptcy filing from the company a few months from now.

Intel no longer has leadership nor management. I would call it a brutal dictatorship. I hope there are people out there that are reading the many threads about the quality of the company. They would do well to never consider wasting their career there. The remaining middle and lower management are just wussies and never stand up or challenge or challenge the worsening doctrine.

Jobs are certainly not plentiful in this world we live in. It's not so easy to just up and quit a job when you have a house payment, are supporting a family and children to feed. No one has a crystal ball telling them they are going to be layed off. We would all be working for a great company if there were. Its funny how Obummer says we have less unimployment, when companys like Intel lay off American workers just to be replaced by foreigners for less salary. Sorry, but this is just pure b.s.

Well, Intel is not a non-profit. The packages are generous, it's the only company I know that even has sabbatical.

Try working for American Express. Your opinion of Intel will go up at least a little. The truth is, a great many of our iconic corporations have lousy people principles. Intel has just been a little slower at joining them.

When you put your people first by treating them with respect and management listens to the people doing the actual work down in the trenches, that is what makes a company money. The exact opposite is happening at Intel. Intel saves a quick buck up front by doing cost-cutting that is the opposite of what the workers require to do their jobs more efficiently and loses much more in the long-run from those actions. A penny wise and a pound foolish. Short-term gains are drastically overshadowed by the long-term loses and people have lost all morale because more work with less resources is done and consistently they are told they are not good enough when pushed to their limits. This is not due to low capability but rather piss-poor management taking away the tools and resources necessary to do the job correctly and in a timely fashion. They cut costs in all the wrong places and demand the impossible out of people......an impossible that wouldn't have been so if management hadn't created those circumstances in the first place. The company's leadership is failing and their failure is accelerating and will come to a head in the coming months.

Correct me if I am wrong, but surely it's the main job of Intel to make money, not look after people or even make chips. Sadly it's the old story of to many managers and not enough techs and engineers.

Find me a single #Fortune500 company that puts people before profits.

That's right, none...

I know, right? Should have left 3 1/2 years ago when they started treating people like numbers instead of waiting to be laid off. At least I never have to deal with their sadistic crap anymore and am free to do anything I want now. Guess I just needed a push to move on to better things.

Yet you stayed there until they fired you.

Good going.
