I keep hearing union people say they won! The real winner was and is VZ! They had to say it was their last and best offer to get the union to quit acting like spoiled, whiny babies. The union got nothing the company wasn't willing to give them. VZ came out on top. They still have the ultimate say on company decisions regarding the employees. At one time many years ago, the union was very needed. It's just not that way any more. The dark ages are long gone. Think for yourself without having to pay someone to do it for you. You still get a paycheck.... from VZ, not the union.

Total BS from someone who is either outright lying or who has little idea of what he is writing about. The goal of the company was to crush the union into accepting the same thing that was done to the managers in 2006. The company lost. Lowell trashed the company's reputation by interfering in a US presidential election, and exposing both his weakness as a leader and lack of intelligence in dealing with the unions.
