Will Ops be impacted, any ideas?
Given that George wants us to go from a $6 Billion to $10 Billion a year company, and we fell short of his expectations, as well a current economic uncertainty, there must be layoffs lurking around d the corner. This is just a guess on my part, but it feels like things are lining up for a layoff the week of April 28, the first week of the new fiscal year.
The guy that said, "What a load of BS.
I am a leader at NetApp and mark me, no layoffs are planned this month." Is either

- Getting Laid off and kept in the dark.
as I am a leader at NetApp as well. Most people at NetApp know about layoffs. Worst Kept secrete in a while.
Will Ops be impacted? 😳
I’ve been told by some folks in the engineering BU that they will happen before the next RSU vesting date which makes it mid May.
@28v+1jqfmdyyn if you're a "leader" and are so certain layoffs will not happen this month then what the heck are you doing reading comments here on a Friday evening?
Sorry to be the one telling you this, but unless you're high up the chain, you won't know for sure until the day it happens. Good luck!
I thought GK said everyone was a leader now?

The layoff will be on the week of the 28th. We traditionally lay off on Tuesdays, but it's not set in stone.
The layoff training from HR is on the Friday before, so if your leaders are in a 1-hour block meeting that is out of the ordinary, they are preparing for the layoff. The only exception is if that leader is being let go, as I have seen this.
The latest I have heard is an 8% target. GK told leaders the first week of February that it would be 6-10% by the end of FY25.
Unfortunately, the ones who need to be laid off are the leaders who decide who gets laid off. They steered the company in the wrong direction and then, like Kurian, flamed the whole company on his all hands for a lousy job when he was the worst leader of the FY. I don't know anybody who supports him, but he is Kamala Harris of NetApp.
Yeah well RDb has said publicly he would NEVER hire anyone from NetApp- while he leads and praises .. he thinks we are all d-mb..if he has given u a pat on the back and told u he thinks ur amazing ur probably next. The most vile type of human being/leader
Interesting that Cesar just sold 62% of his NetApp stock holdings. He must have little confidence in the Q4 attainment thus far. Sell now before the stock tanks further after another quarterly miss.
No need to worry! Cesar has a new quote on LinkedIn! I’m sure he is also energized. “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing.” – Pelé, Brazilian Football Legend
True words to start this week! #LetsGo
It is April 28. Time’s up, Netapp.
It's always next month..
