Got 7% raise after 3 months of getting hired. Not for everyone as I was told. Only top or essential performers with leadership skills were selected in manufacturing. Don't know about software guys what was the matrix. It makes sense to me to raise based on performance. If someone didn't get it and leave, they are not going to repent for him/her/them or whatever the right pronoun as already regarded as a low performer and bad leader.

I got the out of the blue 7% because I apparently work on apps related to AI (a dubious claim). But the apps I build are generally garbage because the data backing them is of poor quality, it takes way too long for data to load properly and, or the customers don’t want to participate in giving feedback on a consistent basis or aren’t available. Then there’s the issue that if you identify a reoccurring problem how do you actually affect change. Again, an other problem entirely.

I got it, grade 7 Hardware Enginneer in the server group. Manager said not everyone is getting it even within a targeted job function and grade. So it makes me wonder what the criteria was to decide who gets it and who doesn't within a job function. I have a feeling those of us who were severely underpaid got this adjustment to bring us in line with the others.... so maybe if you didn't get it - perhaps you are already paid beyond the 50th percentile. I was told this is not performance based.

To the people complaining that everyone should get it - well that mindset is exactly how we ended up in this situation where competitors are way ahead. That is not how a meritrocracy works - not everyone is contributing at the same level. A program manager isn't producing the same o/p as a design engineer for example - even within engineers not everyone is equally competent. That is the problem with "Insights" : everyone gets a participation trophy - but the company goes down the drain, because the people who contribute the most get nothing extra. I recall a college recruiting poster from nVIDIA back from 2002 which stated those with a GPA < 3.8 need not apply. Meanwhile the diversity id--ts here were asking BK in B-M's why Intel wasn't hiring people with lower GPA's....

It covers many job codes, definitely not just fab. It’s also not given to everybody, it’s a retention thing. Pat knows that the bigger adjustment that the company needs is moving way too slowly, so this was put in as a stopgap. 7% is a very good bump(pre- biden inflation) but unless they fix the compa-ratio system the adjustment will negatively impact your insights raise. If that happen it’ll be same ol’ Intel, and the goodwill from the adjustment will be gobe.

All folks I know who work in TD/TMG got the 7% raise and none of the folks I know in GSC got a raise, so I'm guessing it's an org-specific raise

If some people get and others don’t it contradicts One intel concept. We win as a team and lose as a team. Company cannot succeed without all employees being happy and satisfied. It means you are not important as others

That's just the increase to keep your salary par with inflation. If you didn't get a 7% increase then you got a pay cut because of Biden's money printing machine.

Get a raise, it’s the same reason garbage collectors and outhouse cleaners make a lot of money for what they do too. You do dirty work all around smelly $hit. You could go elsewhere and do better and it is less smelly, only way to get you not to leave for better jobs, pay you more duh, the outlook is so poor at Intel compared to say AMD, Qualcomm, Microsoft or Nvidia if you are chip design. So much better at Synopsis or Cadence if your are in EDA, or Amazon or Microsoft or Google in software etc. of course if you are TMG you are really an id--t to say. They may build big honking fabs but you are in the cesspool of failure compared to Samsung and TSMC. Look only at GE or IBM and that is Intel’s future, but hey it was worth the raise, don’t look in the mirror to closely, you might not like what you see.

Look what clowns CEO needs to say this ?

“ I am still amazed to be in my dream job. Love the energy and enthusiasm on the Intel Board of Directors. Thanks Omar Ishrak and team for your partnership. #team #intel
