Don't kid yourself. I was laid off and last rating was exceeds. I know several in the same boat that were highly rated. If you get paid well and they think the can get the same productivity out of a lower cost employee they will
Any idea why accenture continues to focus on the bell curve and laying off employees from the bottom bracket. The CEO recently issued a statement they are doing away with the traditional appraisal system where they forcefit people in to the bell curve?
Recruiting and HR personnel had layoffs early fall 2015 and continue through 2016. Demand for hiring is very low. No new projects; current projects have been halted. No overtime approved, hours cut, hourly rates reduced, lot of folks sitting on the bench. Asking people to take their vacation days now. Senior people asked to leave and take a package. One project just put 100 consultants on the bench.
What is bottommost?
The pipeline is drying up for 2016, does not look good and we may be heading towards a #recession - whatever happens India will be affected
is there any confirmed news on 2016 layoffs
I feel your pain but please note that Accenture invented the #rankandyank system, we've done laddering for decades now and the bottom part was always in danger of being cut. It really depends on how the economy is doing too, so, when times are good we let the bottom stick around, granted they get no raises or bonuses. This pisses some of them off, so they chose to leave on their own. And when we hit a rough patch, things turn ugly and we start cutting. I remember in 2008 we've started cutting folks at the bottom of the Consistent-With band, once we were done with that, we moved to other CWs. The recession kept going and some folks in the Above group got affected. That's how it works buddy, we eat our own dog food.
