Just wondering if I am the only one...

I thought it was bad when i left working in stores but from what I’ve seen its much worse these days. Store workers are getting taken advantage of left and right and keep getting punished with that stupid quota system yet its apparently the greatest place in the world next to Disney.
I don’t get it....
it depends on where you work...sounds like it sux working in stores...however not everyone has the same experience.
Makes sense...but 100k still is good. I make less than that (band 7 employee) and live comfortably, own >1 piece of real estate, and have >1 car.....AND I live in the Northeast. Im not bragging, but a lot can be done with <100k salary.
Where do YOU work? lol. I work between 2 different offices and can work from home when I want. I know ~4 friends in the company that have a company car for their job. I get half off my cellphone bill (before taxes and those extra silly fees), have work-life balance (play sports, involved in other businesses outside work, have hobbies, etc).....Im in wireless network....
17 years ago 100k was considered good, and 17 years later, hr still considers that good for the employee. they've stagnated U.S. wages through globalization because the workers would rather have cheaper goods and scarcer resources than more resources and choice. Or, stated differently, elites don't want anyone else to have choice (ie freedom) but rather perceived freedom/ power (e.g. social media). They couldn't give us a raise because people tend to adjust their standard out living and future policy id's uncertain, but the stock bonus should habe been announced as annual as long as the policy was in effect and tiered for salary. A flat rate definitely helped the person making 40k significantly more than the person making 100k+, and because of different tax rates, the lower paid person actually got more. Just saying
Flexible schedule ? Worklife balance ?company car for some ? Half off cell phone bill. Where da hell does "yer" work ??
cuz it ain't verizon !!!!!!!
Any time someone declares Verizon as the greatest company to work for i die a little inside. How much koolaid does one have to drink to think they're so great.
Oh yeah i love dealing with unfair quotas, i love seeing my co workers get laid off, i love seeing my workload increase without pay, i love seeing the company i work for push customers to shop online instead of in store, i love how they promote simpletons to management instead of actual leaders, i love how the hours s--- balls. I could go on all day.
Atleast on the wireline side they have the Union and benefits that go along with it, with VZW you get crapped on everyday yet you think thats the greatest job ever?
170k? Your off by about ten thousand fired employees. 10 years ago there were 235,000 employees and now only about 155,000 remain.
But those are the minority right v teamer? I guess as long as you have your job and 401k match its all good. #bettermatters #womenofwireless #proudtobevzw #proudtoeliminate90,000jobs

"blame the big bad company...WAHHHHHH....idc if it provides jobs for 170k people, and benefits to them and their families, and one of the better 401k plans around, and education money, and now 50 shares of stocks, and half off cellular and FiOS bills, and flexible schedule, work life balance, and company car (to some), and ..................."
Just because one is happy, doesnt mean one also believes VZ has the greenest grass on the planet, nor does it mean one rides the D of the CEO....name a company where a small % of employees werent treated poorly....you cant. Maybe change your expectations and stop blaming others for things when you can control much of your own professional career.
As Kendrick Lamar says...."B*tch, sit down"
"Oh darn. My darn anger is misdirected." No its directed exactly where I want it: At Verizon, a corrupt mega corporation that hates its customers and employees in the name of its entitled leadership and shareholders. And you, kiss a$$ vteamers that think this is the best place on earth until it ain't.
This company has ruined the lives of tens of thousands and now look - 50 shares in two years! Please... They can buy off the idiots and pacify them with 50 shares in two years...
For what profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul.
Forget this realm. It's merely a temporary annoyance.
@qkd, you're anger is so darn misdirected, and your vulgarity serves no purpose whatsoever.
"It's the ignorant man who fails to comprehend how well he has it.".
Why are #vteamers trolling the layoff site? You scared?
Go back to su€king Lowells d--k bit€h. Does Verizon know how good they have it working my a$$ to death so the c suite can get their bonuses? Piss off...
you do not understand how good you have it
Better than a one time payout and increases your level of investment into the success of the company... Where's the downside?
What do you want? What would overwhelm you?
Its actually better than a one time payout. Company owes you nothing.
Crumbs for the peasants. Thank you king Lowell.
not the only one...
OP, go to Facebook to deal with your "issues".
