Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

At the start of November, my management team discovered I planned to submit my two-week notice on December 29th, with January 12th being my final day. Instead of expressing regret over my departure, they immediately announced their intention to fill my position so that I could train my successor. However, I hadn't officially resigned at that point. How could they have known? Moving to the present, they still haven't found a replacement. They also didn't request that I remain until a new hire was found. Currently, the flooring department lacks a sales specialist and is understaffed by two. Additionally, I was cheated as it relates to my bonus.

That's cause you trusted them! Me one of the best specialist they ever seen, saw how they treated great employees after they gave their notice! I gave them 4 hr notice I was retiring, should of seen all the a-s puckering then! I win...

They don’t pay bonuses if you don’t work until they pay It out. Which is three pay checks after the quarter ends. But, you can’t quit on the Friday before the checks are issued.

if you're under the impression that lowe's is concerned about being understaffed or an employee's departure, you might want to reconsider. having spent a decade working in outside lawn and garden, i've earned multiple accolades, including the prestigious executive award, which is limited to just two individuals per district. yet, when i handed in my two-week notice, the store manager completely ceased communication with me for the entire duration. this experience has led me to believe that lowe's primary focus is on the profit margins employees can generate, nothing more.
