Despite some folks claiming that all is good, I have to tell you that Devon has started laying people off already. The cuts took place in IT, and this will continue at an accelerated pace over next few weeks - this has been in plans for a while and layoffs announced today have nothing to do with it. As one poster listed below, there are no open positions in IT, and that tells you a lot - we had a number of people quit over last three months and nobody got replaced. #ITLayoffs

Racism Schmacism.
I don't have any sympathy for Devon Energy but I do have sympathy for their dedicated employees. Devon is one of the most racist companies in OKC. I worked at Devon for 11 years. They have been sued by EEOC multiple times and have multiple class action lawsuits to resolve.
Why quit and leave money on the table? That's not very smart....
