I am getting really tired of looming layoffs, especially since due to my age I know that sooner rather than later I will be among those let go. I am nearing my fifties, and we all know that's a death knell for staying employed with Fidelity. I am really not sure they will be able to continue on like this for much longer without major consequences. Morale is already heavily hit, which will, if it already does not, affect productivity. Not to mention that they are loosing some of our best people and replacing them with cheaper newbies who barely know what they are doing. And to think I used to enjoy working here...

YOU GUYS ARE CORRECT. THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN THE WORKERS BUILT, MAINTAINED AND GREW THIS BUSINESS/POSITIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT! I'VE BEEN HERE 25+ PLUS YEARS AND HAVE WITNESSED IT ALL FALL APART SLOWLY BUT SURELY THE LAST 3 to 5 YEARS. YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE TECHNOLOGY IN THE WORLD BUT, IF YOU TREAT YOUR PEOPLE LIKE CRAP ...IT WILL DEFINITELY SHOW IN YOUR WORK! THOSE LOW C.E. SCORES ARE ONLY THE BEGINNING......BAD ENOUGH THEY IGNORE REPRESENTATIVES ISSUES/CONCERNS/WARNINGS OF THIS VERY THING! TD AND OUR OTHER COMPETITORS IN THE AREA GLADLY AWAIT OUR INTELLECTUAL REFUGEES!

I completely agree. My role is now cleaning up the mess that newbi's make. I get the feeling that no one really knows what they are doing and five reps will give five different answers to the same question. They merged all the service roles which just makes matters worse. Some reps were given one day of retirement training and are now "Retirement experts". Ultimately Fidelity is on the hook for all the bad info they give out and it will come back to bite them in the a. Management is negligently clueless.
