Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Is there anything more grotesque and pathetic than "Senior Managers"?

Is there anything more grotesque and pathetic than the creatures Verizon calls "Senior Managers"? This elite group of scumbags are mostly made up of leftover people. They've aged their way to the top of the loser pile and literally don't ever want to move. They are the smelly pipe clog that ruins the organization.

We have sooo many directors that shouldn't be in that position because they cant do the job. I actually have a little bit of respect for someone who gets there because they separate themselves from the vile horde of senior managers. The senior managers are pitiful things because their complacency. They dont WANT to go any higher than they are so they have NO incentive to pressure the people above them. But they are truly disgusting because once they get in that spot they exert all energy on holding on to that seat by suppressing anyone who tries to take it. They will do everything they can to sabotage your career and undermine you. Once they identify you as a threat, you officially become their enemy.

They dont want to see you grow. They will not help you. You've got to stay put right where you are so they can keep their coveted spot. They are the main reason the organization is stuck. They are spineless. They dont have the guts to challenge Marni and her ilk so they eat their asses and smile and make sure you keep your distance. I cried tears of joy when they were all demoted because it upset them. The office redesign pleases me because I love to see them stressed and in a tizzy. They feel so vulnerable now and its great. The redesign is for senior managers specifically. When you get laid off there's not going to be any packing up... When they get laid off they literally don't know what to do with themselves because they thought they'd simply sit around like furniture until retirement. They don't want to DO anything. They just want to be furniture.

I cant wait for them to be put on the curb like old furniture on trash day. Enjoy it while it lasts senior managers :-)

This kind of organisation can not be tolerated! Management of all network activities could be properly completed by VDSI with some of the American contractor.

Verizon has made a multitude of strategic errors. Every time a business decision has awry, they have a lay off. They can't manange a business so they the do what's easy for them, lay off individuals. In Network, most senior managers and directors possess no technical degrees and without the engineers and the technicians, couldn't spell LTE. They kept their hunting and drinking buddies. Verizon is a horrible company and as long as they retain the inept leaders and know nothing directors and senior managers, they will continue to lose market share. If you were laid off, go to a competitor. No need to keep funding their bad choices.

Mr McAdam has promised global diversity. The American seniors should be the first replaced.

This I know for a fact. Senior managers, AD's and directors are currently being monitored and audited. Seems like a few people from last years round of layoffs came together and made friends with executive level leadership. Darn shame whats about to go down. Karma is such a B.

Leadership is a for warriors. The management level is supposed to be a battleground. But here at verizon weve got nothing but a-- licking furniture waiting for death while they ruin everything around them. Every time a boomer is laid off an angel gets their wings.

Turn the f---ing tables. Undermine them back. Turn their boss against them. Isolate them. Disrespect them. Call out their ignorance publicly. Humiliate them. Tell on them. Purge the workforce of furniture.

This post is so on point that it hurts.

For the Millennials, those of us born from the 1980's to the 1990's, if you want to retire you would have to put away AT LEAST $1,000 EVERY SINGLE MONTH for the next 32 YEARS just to have over $1Mil at retirement. This assumes a STARTING SALARY of $50K a year.

MOST of us will NEVER be able to retire by this math. WE MUST BE ABLE TO COMPETE FAIRLY IN THE WORK PLACE OR LITERALLY PRAY OUR KNEES DON'T GIVE OUT. We'll need them for Wal-Mart greeter jobs or to flip the burgers at McDonald's . . part time. . . with no benefits if these parasites continue to run Verizon into the ground.

YOU WILL BE MOVED
