Got laid off, they only fired lvl 1-3 engineers in this layoff and kept all the seniors and above.

Bs BK won't layoff staff1/2 as they see them 'important', although most of this folks barely contribute anything impactful. Eg in VSphere we still pass thumbprints everywhere wtf, this is like 1-2 months migration, but we can't finish it in years now. There is so many senior managers and directors, Hock will need big shovel to clear this.

It's just a matter of time till you job get wings and fly to a south east asian country to be completed and you are left looking for a job in America. This company had to move its headquarters to America in order to acquire American based companies but it's still managed like a South East Asian company. Majority of its workforce will be overseas where they can exploit workers with sweatshop treatment while the head honcho bank account gets fatter every day. Come on, sell more widgets, develop faster, cut people a few months before their RSUS gets vested. Welcome to the BC way.

They are the biggest corruption that happened to the IT industry in the US. Specifically that south Asian country, hopefully it will be fixed soon… Trump or Biden , mass deportation to that nationality is needed.

H1Bs population predominantly from one southeast Asian country obviously doesn't represent the idealistic historical melting pot spirit of America; at some point this corruption across the IT industry will have to stop.
On the other end, Octane along with the Wall Street investors (pension funds etc..) across the industry (helped by Washington DC lobbyists financed by Wall Street investors) incentivize it as long as it brings money and fuels the gigantic multi trillion dollars IT industry; after all this is capitalism where profit rules at the profit of American workforce. This is a model very unique to America, probably unthinkable in any other country due to foreign unions and labor laws, which helps its IT industry to be propelled to the most powerful in the world.
there is no smoke without fire. The truth is that it is predominantly South Asians at the PA office. You cannot deny that unless you are blind. It is also true that they hire and promote their own; just break down the demographics in management. Not all behave that way, but the majority do and they are like that all over the world. It is also statistically impossible that the other races are all incompetent and only one group of people are good at IT. Standards imposed must be applied to everyone and not to just one portion of the population.
Only the hockster knows the final number. We can all agree that further cuts are going to come. It does not matter when or how. It will come, or enough people will need to resign to get to the right number the hockster wants. There is no point in being angry or frustrated.
I do hate Broadcom because it is just an a--hole of a company. However, i have to tolerate the arrogance and verbal diarrhea of BU management to pay for food and a roof.
The only thing worse than being laid off from my job was my JOB. ;)
