Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon IT Corporate Culture is Cultish

What characterizes corporate cult is the degree of control management exercises over employees’ thinking and behavior. This starts with recruitment, where employees are screened for their fit.
Its top to bottom family approach. Outsiders are not reliable and they are not fit. Like the old Godfather Movie.

Start from top of the hierarchy- Verizon is true example of cult- a cultish corporate culture. With emergence of Tamils created this cult culture. This underlying current of belonging and nepotism drives the way people communicate, make decisions, support each other, as well as hiring, promotion and termination decisions. In such a climate, individualism is discouraged, and specific group-think prevails.

So if you are among them, a relative, nephew, niece then you will be climbing top of the chain in no time. All positions or future decisions about the positions are driven by this culture mindset only. If you are not a family or from the cult, just like Godfather movie, you are out or about to.

What top ones are doing? Well, maybe their sign off prevail this culture. VSP came and gone, Infosys came and gone, the bagpiper still coloring who am I pages with their crayons. The PR is never ending show whether its all hands or pulse survey or magazines. They want their approval rate high at all cost else prepare for your exit. They are simply God in human form driving everyone's lives in Verizon. And trust this, nothing is going to change. Miracles happen somewhere else.

Bullseye! They eliminate top position if you are not a Tamilian and check every nook and corner to find the replacement who is one. No chance of getting up from with in.

OP, you’re silly. Cults believe their misguided notions, drink Kool-Aid, invite only the most loyal into their inner circle, hide truths, and eventually die off. Does that sound anything like us?
No.

Let’s Face Facts about VZ India

They make so many mistakes
They are lazy
They have no attention to detail
They take days off all the time when are needed for an important project
They are not passionate about their work
They look forward to going home as soon as they arrive to work
They announce new babies every week (no one Cares)
They have no clue what end users needs are
They think they are superior when they are not
None of them have Verizon service
They cost the company Billions and we get nothing in return.
VZ India has to be let go and liquidated.

@1eiv+1aNpW7Hx, escapism is good but not to this level. Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up. Do not insult your own intelligence to this extent.
