well, they started with the end of year retirements. Now, they'll start the layoffs in late February and early March...to coincide with bonuses and such. This is how they've done it for two years. This year, though, they don't have the hedges like they've had in the past. It will probably be more painful. Still can't make good money at $50 oil.

How bad was the layoffs? I am at Denbury but don't know how long. The dfw oil and gas market is dead. Houston is not much better. Sorry for all those laid off.
Did they fire hunting camp boys?
well...if you're still there, then you are probably safe until next February/March. If oil stays in the $50 range, then they'll have to let more folks go. they're still too fat with high paid "advisors" and bunches of layers or mgmt and bag carriers to not keep sifting folks out each spring.

Last week of February, the notices will start to be made. That's when they did it in 2015 and 2016.
Trolls. What would the internet be without them?
That surely isn't the case. False news is very popular these days. #MakeAmericaGreatAgain
Hey....if you had a review meeting with your manager and it didn't go well, you're probably on their short list. Performance improvement plan will be offered and some money. basically, if you don't take the money you won't have a job in 90 days and the money won't be available.
