And SPORTS. Talking about sports is a clear indicator that corporate shills are trying to appeal to the slave class masses.

I always wanted to create a list as the #1 word or phrase seems to change about once a year. I have been out for almost a year but when I left everyone was saying 100%. And for the love of god I dont miss raising the bar.

OP needs to consult the BKMs regarding his ARs otherwise he may not meet his OKRs to achieve 5N4Y and get subjected to CPM which makes it not a GPTW.

@bn

Actually, you're wrong...

Corporate jargon is perceived as weird by most people because it frequently uses vague, overly complex, or euphemistic language that obscures meaning.

Jargon is used to make ideas seem more impressive than they are, deflect blame, complicate simple concepts, and obscure problems.

The abstract nature of the phrases makes them confusing and seems pretentious for most of the population.

People adopt jargon not for clarity, but to fit in or appear competent.

Jargon is used MORE by incompetent, fraudulent individuals vs experienced people.

The more a person uses jargon, the LESS fit they are for the role.

@bm the idioms don't translate well do they? Must be frustrating

Is it true you get a job easier if you say ridiculous jargon that only office workers use?

NO other industry talks like this. NONE.

Why not just speak normally??

You sound so fake using these bullsh*t words

I have never heard some of those, so I am not attending the real important high-level meetings, which would be obvious if you spent more than 5 minutes talking to me about my job at Intel

the fact that a circlej--kabout internal meeting jargon devolved into to an earnings call satire says a lot about the participants of this board

All statements made in today's meeting reflect forward facing headwinds and are subject to market revisions at anytime reflecting future commitments and past rejections. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any medication.

@OP I'd double click on that but it's a lot to unpack. That's good input. Let's take this offline.

OP, you need to put your list on the back burner ASAP, you have too many ba--s in the air. Intel is facing significant headwinds and it is like herding cats to try and keep up with all of the changes. Go back to your team and do a brain dump then bring to the table a list of core competencies and deliverables. Your team needs to get on board with the new direction of the company and break down the silos until you are good to go. We don't need you to reinvent the wheel but push the envelope. Leverage the current environment and make hay while the sun shines before there is a hard stop. You need to make a paradigm shift so drink the kool-aid and go move the goal posts. I am expecting a one-pager that resonates the synergy of your work and we will run it up the flagpole and see who salutes. Trim the fat while you are gaining traction or you will be thrown under the bus. We will touch base later.
