Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

transition is not layoff

i have been given 17 month transition and I am told that if a full time employee leaves I will be given that position!

so transition is not layoff according to me.

Hock will not approve your hiring even if someone quit. Remember what he said in the meeting? "Too many people"!

WTF?!?! Quick, start looking for another job -- because you won't know what hit you when you get run over in a couple of months. Yeah you got severance -- but no career outlook.

It's just a way to keep you motivated till your time is up. I mean would you still be working the same if you know you will eventually by gone?

How naive and stupid to think your chance of getting a permanent employment depends on someone else leaving. How many people do you think they fed that same crap line. Good luck with that.

That's a bunch of B.S. They're dangling a (lie) carrot in front of you to get the best effort out of you.
