Everyone can do Math. Hunger, Mortgage, Kid's fees, future prospects etc will make you do what it takes. Some learn fast, some take time but he who uses what is learnt to productise will succeed.

Historically, America's success has been its ability to innovate. Obesity is a physical problem today, dont let it be a mental problem. No time for complacency and finger pointing.

Its survival guys.

In ucsd ext , there is a data mining course but better to take coursera.

San Diego supercomputing hires folks but really qualified.
