I notice people on LinkedIn saying that other companies are allowing employees to work from home or return to office in oct.. or stay working from home and come to office once a month.. these people who are complaining are Op/vs and store managers and sales captains . my thought was this is all by design... they are playing hunger games... they are pushing everyone to break or quit so they do not have to give you a package as they shut down more stores and as store keep going south do to online sales doing better.. its not going to get better at macys and it will only get worse in time.. take 2015 when they went on a firing spree of sales managers . my store cleaned out 13 of them in one year.. after that is was down to 5/6 now down to 3/4 so you see where this is going... my advice is get out while you can

I guess they are all being over worked and thats why they are all looking outside of the box at other gigs..
Don't depend on a package, used to be that the company gave a package if they wanted you to leave and you were at a Director or higher level position, but not so much anymore. If you are over 50 or a protected class and can make a case that you are forced out (like when you are being held accountable to standards that others in your position are not being held to), then you can probably still get one in order to keep the lawyers happy. The best advice if you fall into this category is to get a labor attorney, once you lawyer up it's often cheaper for the company to give you a decent package than risk the cost of going to court or heaven forbid, having to produce evidence and risk possible class action pile on.
They do not have to give anyone a package.
What are the OP/VM, Store Managers and Sales Captains complaining about? That they can’t work from home?
