Is LPB1 a higher grade than LPB2 or vice versa. How many such numbers in the LPB and SPB bandings

Interesting. I left as LPB at $93k in 2020. They have yet to fill my role. Now I see my role and another team member's role still posted. I would come back if they offer a SPB role. How do you tell on the external site if it is SPB?

LPB1 here, at 119k base salary. Getting moved up to SPB sometime soon, not sure what kind of increase that will be.

New SPB3 here, $125K
I decided to accept the offer and start interviewing for new roles at another company. Once I have a new written offer, I plan to take PTO for 2 weeks, and send in my resignation letter during that time and never return.

No joke with bonus as a SPB I make hopefully 115k this year. Cuz we are so low on people in Renewables and we are at home i just play video games all day and claim im way to busy "putting out fires". I just email for about an hour before 7am and then for 10-15 mins around 7-8pm so it seems like I'm working hard. I work maybe 2 hours a day and people think I'm awesome.

Wow what maddening comments from the people who do nothing but paid a truckload of money. I hope they are just daydreaming. Have decency! Have respect to people who do work!

Lol your all inflating your salaries, your not making $180k, $250k, or $300k, you might start out at maybe $65k and if you have technical experience maybe $90k or Operations Manger maybe $150k. But just a front line supervisor $60-70k

LPB is 80-120
SPB is 130-220

Yes - very toxic environment and many ‘good old boys’ clubs.

OP asked about GE Power, 8hnn simply mentioned "Most GE sites" which includes everything else other than Power. #TrollingFail

I smell a lot of BS here. Most GE sites are in rural places, where salaries are low. Next time check Glassdoor before posting your fake #s here.

I love working from GE. I was able to get into SP within 3 years of leaving college. They are afraid people will leave. 27 years old and getting 120k which is the bottom range of SP i assume.

Had 18 weeks of vacation this year so far and my boss never said nothing. In fact they just told me I would get a 20 percent bonus if I signed to stay another year in my role.

I literally have nothing to do. My friend is a LP and gets 95k straight out of college.

Who would have thought a company like this existed. No pressure or anything and just getting a paycheck no matter what I do and don't do. Tried to get into this new technical track program they created. Guess I am not allowed because you have to be a PB and below 60k a year.

One guy retired last month and told me how awesome GE is. Said he was SP for the past 20 years and made over 180k a year. I call that a good living for zero stress.

I agree to what some of you have written. The stress of working in an environment were a sword is hanging on your neck all the time is just too much. I joined as PB in 2008...rose to LPB and then to SPB 2 yrs back. All these 10yrs I have been hearing the same story..."business is not doing well". Shareholders get there dividends but hardworking employees suffer...their salaries are cut, their growth is r----ded and thet are made to feel that the condition of the business is because of them...whereas the truth is out for the world to see...the condition is because of incompetent leaders!!

I get almost $300,000 a year and get to harass those lazy union workers. I get paid enough to blow smoke up the 301’s arses and they believe me. Wait until there is more layoffs in the Schenectady campus.

I took a pay cut to leave, get worse health care, less vacation, and better stock options. But I am still better off since the stress is so low I don't need the health care for the premature heart attacks. Agreed GE pays pretty well, it just isn't worth it. I was LPB at $95k when I left. If you don't believe that they pay well try looking for another job and you will quickly find GE pays reasonably well. Most people don't leave for better pay, they leave the toxic and unstable environment. However, in the commodity world such as oil, GE is behind the curve in pay, but will lay people off later in the game than other businesses. However, you will still face the toxic environment and eventual layoff.

They started me in the mid sixties with a masters degree in engineering...I don't call that well paid...

PB is upto 100K, LPB is upto 120K, SPB is between 150K-200K plus bonuses. GE to their credit pay very well but the environment is toxic and many ppl dont actually do any work. You will find few managers and dedicated employees who actually keep the company going. This means u are well paid but miserable.
