Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Is BKR still going to have vaccine and testing requirement?

Is it even legal for them to?

@cncs BH has always had issues with paying out overtime. I was shorted not once, but twice for thousands of dollars in OT. When they tried to say it was my fault, I provided screenshots of my time entries into SAP to my boss, his boss, and their boss. When they still didn’t fix it, I threatened to forward everything to the CEO, hire an attorney, and start calling news outlets. It was fixed that day and on my next check.

A company that does this kind of stuff isn’t going to pay anyone OT for showing up during a pandemic.

Baker doesn't really care about your safety. Baker really cares for it just so there isn't any sort of pay out and want to continue to make profit off the employees.

Here's a Go/idea: stop turning in ideas and observations
Also lets do little to no work like most of the employees "working remotely"

He-l! Let set a world wide date NOT to work!

My bet is they forget to order testing likes after a few weeks like they never reorder supplies for AMO.

You didn’t get a bonus so we can get a bigger bonus that should be obvious

My only question is: “If the vaccination is so critical that we are willing to suspend the unvaccinated, then why doesn’t those that have the luxury of working remotely cowboy on up and return to work like the rest of us have everyday for the last two years?

Most companies gave their essential workers bonuses for braving the pandemic and keeping the doors open. Not Baker Hughes.

Baker still continues to find ways to fu-k employees. Eventhough Baker has been going down hill for a while, I will be happy to once they go out if business.

Open your fu----g eyes everyone! If you're vaccinated -you CAN still get sick and test POSITVE! Baker may say they care for the employees health and safety of their employees but do they really, along with the pay? By the end of the day it's about money and power.

@OP Yes, your employer can require you to be vaccinated as a condition of employment.

The SCOTUS ruling (which anyone can download and read on their website) limits the statutory power of OSHA to impose this specific version of the “vaccine or test rule” on large private employers. They upheld vaccine requirements for healthcare workers. There’s nothing in the ruling, which is binding on all lower courts, that prevents any employer from imposing their own mandate.

This case was more about limiting executive power than it was about vaccines. That much was clear from the briefs being filed in advance of or-l arguments.

The lab rats aren’t going to admit they still can carry, expose and die from covid despite the 20 booster shots they got.

How can I still be required to test negative to go into the workplace while placing myself at risk by being exposed to Covid-19 positive vaccinated employees who aren't required to test weekly?

Yes. The email just went out today. Nothing has changed. Get the jab or test weekly at a cost of $25 a week deducted from your paycheck.

Hopefully they will back off. I'm calling their bluff and will do the tests.

Want another tidbit, I'm fully remote and still have to do the tests.

Yes they can legally require vaccination. Will they actually require it? Who knows at this point.
