Take the night off and do something you enjoy. Tomorrow go for a walk and formulate your plan. The day after apply for unemployment. Use the funds wisely, the % of recipients that have expired (26 weeks ) is growing rapidly indicating people are not finding work quickly. Esp. true in high tech and Oregon since Nike has been cutting large numbers.

Rehireable?? Why would you ever want to come back? This place is in a death spiral

You are very brave to curse your former employer OP. Many Intel di-k faces are still shown up at campus.

You don’t have to work for Intel to pay its debt OP. Find something else to make you happier. There is always tomorrow and your future career is more important than staying at a failing corporation.

@OP
This is NOT about you! This is about the id--t CEO & CFO losing $12 BILLION of the company's money. Nothing the BEST workers in the work could do to overcome that corruption & ineptitude.
You've been given a gift, though it likely doesn't feel that way right now.
Don't let the ba----ds grind you down!

@evp you are rehireable with ISP

You are not if you were terminated with cause

In fact I would prefer you over the vsp

You had chosen to stay to improve intel

They (VSP) had chosen to leave to improve themeself or just for the payout

@evp, I thought only VSPs could be rehired. Any ISPs would be blacklisted by HR

They let you go without any severance? Sorry. That's bull.

You can always re-apply to Intel in 1-2 months and get rehired. HR doesn't know what they are doing and there will be job posts during layoffs. Take advantage of those if you really want to work for Intel still.

Sorry to hear. I was ISPed in 2015. It had a mental and physical anguish. I overcame and found something that I enjoy doing. You will find yours. You may wonder why I came here to post. I wanted to see where the company has headed and definitely for the worse. I am sorry you have been subjugated to this. You will have a better tomorrow and have a healthy life. Good luck.

Blessing in disguise. You’ll look back at today in 5 years and realize how much further you’ve come, especially if you keep in contact with people that still work at Intel. You’ll probably be making double the $$$, have taken on totally new challenges, established relationships with new and better people. Then you talk to your old Intel friends and hear the same old “ yeah I found a problem with this bit in this register” sh-t as if time is frozen over there
