Not BS. Confirmed news. Heard from a VP in SD today.
And yes, it would be mostly principal and above. Looks like they’ll be nice enough to allow the RSU vesting then.

So if you have a years of service anniversary soon during the WARN period, that counts as another year served?
Regardless of the various misunderstandings of the requirements of the CA WARN - Monday is the day for the next WARN notice publications from CA.
All you have to do is look at 2015 layoffs. They gave a little more than 60 days WARN notice. All packages exceeded 60 days of pay but they still have 60 days from notice to last day of work.
@xon do your basic research. Google CA WARN act.
'requiring employers to give affected employees and other state and local representatives NOTICE 60 days in advance of a plant closing or mass layoff.'
People misinterpret WARN. As long as the company gives you at least 60 days severance, they can do a WARN notice and layoff same day. WARN does not require that you have a job for at least 60 days more if you are compensated for two months in conjunction with notice. So with QC's generous severance package, WARN does not apply form a timing perspective.
@efd is correct. But it is not next week. Notification starts in the week of 19th.
This is a plausible departure date. However, based on 2015 you need to back up at least 60 days for WARN....that would put packages in hand next week possibly...not 100% sure.
