Vera Bradley Heartless Towards Loyal Employees... Vera Bradley has Just Laid off all Full Time Employees at the Woodbury Commons in Hariman NY. Full time employees were Told they would be Terminated Immediately to make room for Part Time Workers. They were NOT even given the Option of taking the Part Time Positions being filled, just Terminated with No Reason or say at all. Basically they reported to work to be told they were Laid off. How does a Company do this to people? Put them out on the Street, Discarded like Trash, Overnight, with No advanced Notice or reason other than that the store has decided to change it's work force to Part Time and so they were no longer needed. Nothing, Absolutely Nothing can Justify this action by Vera Bradley. Please Share these Comments and add to them as you wish. Vera Bradley has lost it's Roots and has now joined the ranks of the Heartless Elites who don't care about their workers at all. If you are looking for work or are a present employee for Vera Bradley BEWARE You mean NOTHING to Them at all. Here Today, Gone Tomorrow, Like the Trash! This News Must Get Out, Please Share.

The 24rd of 03-2020 employees told that if they didn't feel safe working because of the virus, they could take a 2 week paid leave. Sign the sheet if you want to stay. Sign another if you want go. Meeting at the end of shift. Could be longer than 2 weeks. Will have to use mto accured if longer. If no mto left, go on unemployment. Might be called back....might not. Goodbye. Using 20 or less sample sewers to make masks , but keeping shipping 60+ people there for shipping and warehouse so orders can be filled and shipped. Pushing furlough on employees and telling them they might want to look for jobs. Not answering questions they had telling them they would get back with them later with answers. 14 yrs +pushed out the door . No return dates. No promise of employment. They make the scrubs in china. Have for a couple years now. They found a loop hole to stay open and are taking advantage of it while putting employees health at risk. And throwing away employees who were loyal and trusted in you. Way to go Vera Bradley Distribution. Your true core values are with stock holders and the dollar sign.
I feel your pain of Vera Bradley’s action, although i am NOT surprised. I was employed by Vera Bradley’s main sewing contractor who operated three separate plants in Fort Wayne Indiana (where the company was started) employing over a thousand people. Then one Friday we were informed that Vera Bradley’ was taking ALL their production to China. All that being said, you are 100% correct in saying that Vera Bradley is hartless and i will also add UNAMERICIAN, anyone who supports them in any manner should know that your loyalty will NOT BE REWARDED.
