Shell Reorg

Will the reorg happen after SVS is completed? Is a forced MOR planned by Q4?

In addition to layoffs, they are also looking to transfer many jobs to Manila, Chennai and Krakow this year. Now that they've had a test run of 3 months, they know which jobs can be transferred.

Willing to bet that by year end, between job redundancies and transfer of job to the SBOs, there will be a 30%-40% headcount reduction at the Woodcreek campus.

Except transition 2009 was a 10-15% reduction in the overall organization...

Ben’s letter of May 20 and fresh rumors from the Hague point to huge cuts by year end. Probably something like Transition 2009 (for those old enough to remember).

If you have another job lined up where you can start after Aug 31, and take SVS and leave, that is best case scenario!

If you have another job lined up outside of Shell - can you just sign up for SVS, hopefully get selected and get off the payroll prior to the Aug/Sept timeframe to start new job

Remember that SVS takers have to be off the Shell payroll by either Aug 30 or Sep 30th (depending on the business)

For those businesses that want SVS takers off the payroll by August 30th: Forced MOR in July
For those businesses that want SVS takers off the payroll by September 30the: Forced MOR in August
