Anyone hear anything about remote workers? Have managers been given a chance to prove their position is critical or will all remote employees be let go Oct 28?

It would appear no one knows for sure which offices will remain for both phases of RTO.
I'm in the phase 2 category due to non LA/NY office and will be coming in if not laid off, but there's no way to know what offices in what cities are slated to remain in place.
I highly doubt there will ONLY be NY and LA offices available by Q3 next year. Perhaps they won't keep all the various satellite offices everywhere, but I'm just not seeing it being trimmed down to 2 cities only.
If we all band together and refuse to go into the office they can’t fire us all.
All of this is purely speculation, but given that remote workers are included in Phase 2, the coming layoffs will probably be related to other factors and not necessarily if you're remote or not. Then next year, you'll all be assigned a NY/LA office and you'll need to relocate by Q3, or else be let go.
Nobody watches cable TV unless they are old. You got time
@a1 I should have been more clear. I was referencing remote workers who cannot commute to an office i.e. hired remote from a state that does not have a corporate office. (Realize LA / NY will be headquarters starting in 2026)
Were managers given a chance to fight for them or will managers just be told they are being let go?
@a1 loser!
Unless you go back to the office 5 days a week starting in the new year you’re cooked.
Just a guess . If Remote worker then high probability of let go compare to in person worker doing same work .
But not all Remote worker will let go in one go . Because within 3 days you wont able to transition that work to some in person employee .
There will be definitely phase 2 RTO and that time those who not opt in to move positions will get rehired locally
@a1 You must really enjoy su-king DE's Schweddy Ba--s.
There are about 10 posts a day complaining about having to show up for work. David wants everyone in the office. That’s the rule because he’s the boss.
