TSMC engineers love to work at Intel because it is less stress, and more family oriented.

That family oriented culture is long gone since all those layoffs. Everyone is overworked and on a whim of getting laid off to be replaced by outsourcing the work to Malaysian, China etc engineers.

Worthless when Intel pays sh---y sub par salary. That's why the article saying Intel is offering more than their usual. Cuz no one would even consider Intel if they offer their normal salary, that says a lot about Intel's failure

Taiwan is caught in the middle, and you never want to be in the middle. China sees you as a relative. The U.S. sees you as a piece in the geopolitical game.

Untrue, the biggest TSMC customers Apple, Nvidia and AMD all pushed TSMC to move some of their Mfg into regions that wouldn't get interrupted if there was an incursion by China. The US just made that push easier by adding financial incentives.

Intel is incapable of competing in chip fab anymore, no matter how many engineers. TSMC itself will be greatly challenged to succeed in AZ. They are only there due to politics, besides that it makes no real sense.

Intel manufacturing has fundamental design problems. Even if you know all TSMC secrets, it will take many years to re-design its MES system and other software systems.
