Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Will there be a lawsuit being asked for proof of vax?

From what I understand from some lawyer friends staples can’t be asking to ask and scan copies of vax cards. That is against our rights and discrimination of those who can’t get vax for underlying medical conditions or religious beliefs.

Having us go back to the office setting saying its “safe if vaccinated” is totally rubbish. Our office space is normally a cesspool of germs because if 1 person gets sick, everyone gets sick. The vaccine is only supposed to be effective 3-6 months anyway and according to The CDC.gov website “people can still get sick and possibly spread COVID-19 to others after being fully vaccinated, CDC recommends people continue to take everyday actions to protect themselves and others, like wearing a mask, maintaining an appropriate distance from others, avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces, and washing hands often.” Making us go back to the office, vaccinated or not, is wrong. We’ve proven 100% work from home can be done.

To the commenter concerned you will be judged in Sept for not getting a non-FDA approved vaccine for any number of reason, YES, sadly you will be judged. The last year has shown we can work remotely very effectively. I am going to continue to work remotely until the numerous studies that show there is little to no additional benefit to get the vaccine if you had COVID becomes mainstream. Logic indicates we are in herd immunity but the CDC will never admit that. Too much power and money will be lost once we are no longer in the pandemic.

I was wondering if anyone would make a post here. I know that if I am forced to wear a mask if/when we return in September, it will out me to my team. I know that I must be the only one that has not taken the vaccine on my team and most Staples associates especially in MA are compliant, but the judgement that will come my way will not be good at all. My team always talks about the vaccine and has seemingly looked down on those not getting it while I have kept quiet about it. It doesn't sound like inclusion to me. I'd prefer to stay working at home full-time so that I don't have to deal with the politics of Staples.

Email from SD on Monday stated it from corporate. Sounded like a na-i “show me your papers” if you want to return to the office and be mask free. Masks don’t work read the dr fraud emails

Who's asking the employees to scan the vax cards? No word from Corporate when we can stop wearing the masks inside the building.
