Worked @ DVN for 14 years. Loved this place and got let go with the WPX merger. Chances are the cycle will continue and the longer you are there the greater the chance you will get let go. It is sad, real sad. In my tenure there my department had 11 different (transformations, staff reductions, layoffs or merger let goes). The company benefits were outstanding but the stress of layoffs beat you down.

I really hope we won’t have to go through another MOE. All that did was make life miserable for everyone from both companies.
Nothing different will happen, because what you allow, is what will continue.

What are we expecting again? Changes? Because I’ll believe that when I see it. It’s worked this way for 50 years, why change anything?
