Does someone have the list? Or, is there such a thing? I have been hearing rumors about many stores but it looks like they are keeping the list in secrecy very much. I know that there will be stores closing in 2015 but nobody knows what kind of criteria will be used when determining if a store should be closed or now.

Most of their stuff is the pits. Poorly made junk. Brands are over priced. Bought an appliance at Sears years ago. Have not been in a Sears, Walmart, JC Penny in years. Will buy junk t shirts and pants at k mart to use for house and farden work every year. Maybe if they carried quality and ditched the poly, they would have customers.
Kmart has closed all stores in Volusia county Florida with. Daytona Beach, Fl now on the list newspaper notice yesterday to close in couple months, mark downs started. Ormond, Deland, New Smyrna, Port Orange and now Daytona Beach, Fl. I have been shopping for 50 years, 45 I believe in the Daytona one. What a shame. Just bought Christmas gifts for 2015 and loved the prices. They are replacing the building with a Pottery Barn in the building. Now why in the world would I want what is in a Pottery Barn store. Been shopping at one less than an hour from here close to Maitland-Altamonte Springs, Fl. Once every two months going there is enough for me. K-marts is way better merchandise wise. Guess this has something to do with Sears. Life is heading down hill. I missed the one in Port Orange when it closed few years ago so much but drove to Daytona about 5 miles from here as I love Kmarts. Well, it is gone now. What a shame. I could order online and return to the store if not what I wanted. Why order, when you have to ship it back now if not right size. I just plain give up.

To the person that said they ain't sad about kmart going out of business you are gonna care when your taxes go up when the employees that get laid off that have kids and can't find a job go and get state aid

Daytona store closing march 20th.
They are closing Superior, Wis. and Virginia, Minn. locations. Not sure about Ironwood, Michigan but I am pretty sure that they will cut them. End of January liquidation sales, folks will receive more severance and not sure what will happen. Superior is hit hard as they are losing a Target store too - they are sinking fast over there - it's a dump. I feel sorry for all folks who are losing jobs.

I heard rumors of my local Kmart in Big Bear Lake, CA closing down a few months ago but proved to be false. Wondering if anyone has more info as to why people were thinking that and that there might be some truth to it down the road.

September 27, 2015...... The Sturgis,MI Kmart store is undergoing a "Store Closing" sale. I don't know when it started and don't know what the last day of business is projected to be.
Lake Park, FL looks like closing sale started today. No previous news of this store closing but Kmart site removed it from store locator.
