Has anyone in Florida been denied unemployment because they received a severance check from Verizon? Were you able to appeal?

Yes, I had the same thing happen here in Maryland...denied unemployment benefits until severance period is done, or you find a job. I had already put that money into savings.
They just had the 2015 year in review from Lake Mary Shamoo was there telling all of the seals in crowd how good they look and what an awesome place Lake Mary was.
I had the same thing happen in another state and I appealed and lost. I was told I would be eligible for UE once the severance period (which the severance check is paying for) had passed. I found another job before the period ended, so I was unable to apply again.
