They were give a time period to turn in Q’s computers, clean out desks, and try to help those taking over their jobs. At least show some respect when they come back..These people have been there for 20 + yrs and helped build Q.
Yes, layoffs are real. Layoff notifications occurred last Wednesday. People must leave this Wednesday.
I still don't know if layoff last week is for real. Peoples I thought were gone are here today and said they not the layoff. This is very questionable. Is there the verified layoff information today?

Layoffs trickling along at this time. Good people just in the wrong place getting cut. The low performer thing, yeah some of them just got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time as well.

15% Cost reduction coming in 23 , at present only low performers who got a 1 or 2 .
Layoff will be based on business decision not on performance like this time,

Last day is 12/20. Salary paid through 2/7. Benefits paid through 2/28. Severance 2 weeks for every year + 4-12 week kicker depending on jon title + 4k for health coverage+ 3 months transition services + vacation pay in final check. Qualcomm is a great company! My group had 8 layoffs for 150 people. It was not targeted towards older people as some suggested as you can see the ages of everyone laid off. That is a law.
This is a good time for Indian managers to strengthen his/her power. For those impacted, keep your evidences. Q will pay for it's racial discrimination.
Don acorss the board employees. Most groups had to pick among a few people who they could easily lose. But although last work day next week in office still on books til early feb for ESPP. Note sure about a package after that.
But they are rehiring those heads in India. Do not a real layoff. Also they are wiping out older workers over 55
