Boeing Has No Tools And No Talent To Design A New Aircraft

https://airinsight.com/boeing-not-to-launch-a-new-airliner-until-digital-toolset-is-ready/

Boeing will not build nor even design a new aircraft
until it is fully satisfied with the Digital Toolset…
That it believes is needed before it can design, manufacture, and service such
an aircraft
We need to move into AI design, as there is no such talent remaining at
Boeing explained David L. Calhoun.

After the MAX failure, followed by the failures of the 787 and 777X, KC-46 Pegasus,
And the Starliner fiascoes, all of which consumed all available resources and
prevented Boeing from launching an aircraft that could compete with the
Airbus A321XLR.

We realized we just don’t have what it takes to design and build aircraft anymore.
We are optimistic that AI can restore our engineering prowess and beat Airbus.
As far as the building of aircraft goes we are exploring out-sourcing and
Robotics as the new Millennial work force is incapable of any value added tasks.

Millennials: The Dսmbest Generation:

These are dark times for Boeing, as our lack of investment in what was our
Greatest resource, “people” has been squandered through our apathy and
mismanagement of this most precious of all our resources
as we focused on our past laurels and not the further of the Boeing Company
we have come to understand what engineers actually do,
“and here I thought they just drove trains” said Calhoun.

To catch up to Airbus we’ve hired the very best MBA’s from banking services
And remain committed to buying any glittery technology that will tell us what
to do so we can get out of this mess.

Expect Layoffs
Expect a global re-balancing in market share for this aircraft class
Expect difficult times ahead for those who cannot adapt
Expect difficult times ahead for those who have only known Boeing.
Expect darkness and despair
Expect Layoffs, again and again
Expect to find yourself in the fetal position.

The Moscow design center design anything. They just cross the t’s and dotted the i’s and nitpicked the engine meeting releases making it more difficult to get stuff done.

Boeing not forecasting timetable for 737 MAX 10 fraud approval
https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/boeing-not-setting-timetable-737-max-10-approval-2022-06-15/?rpc=401&

Boeing on Wednesday said it was making progress with regulators on its
737 MAX 10 fraud but declined to offer a clear timeline on when it expects to win
approval, in a tougher regulatory climate in which they cannot certify their frauds.

Boeing has a December deadline to win approval for the 737 MAX 10 –
the largest member of its best-selling single-aisle airplane family.
Otherwise, it must meet new cockpit alerting requirements under a 2020 law,
unless Congress waives it.

to believe in anything these management clowns proclaim
It’s just more of the same, Lie upon Lie upon Lie - and it never ends.
There Is No New Plane, --- not now, not soon not this decade ---

A Fanciful Boeing Faced / AKA Bombastic Boeing BS
We can’t build a new plane because we don’t have

We can’t build a new plane because we don’t have the New Wonder Engines to

Instead of developing talent in the US they chose to develop talent in Moscow and kyiv.

They pushed out hundreds of engineers who were close to retirement to save money by hiring cheap engineers in Russia.

Terrible mistake because the almost 2000 engineers in Moscow are going to be very difficult to replace.

Not sure how you design a new airplane with new college grads with no experience but that’s what they’re looking at for the next airplane.

Well, this is the new Boeing. Few know anything and no one is accountable for anything.

They can't design anything because they lost all the Moscow engineers and most of Kyiv. They're trying to find somewhere else to outsource ASAP.

Was going to say you forgot 777X in your excellent list, but word on street it was known years ago it wouldn't happen. And FAA has since advised Boeing it is totally uncertifiable in its folding wing incarnation. So it won't be another failed product. It will justvbe another Boeing research project of sorts that was abandoned.

Not sure what the problem is? They designed and built 787, 737Max, AF1, USAF Tanker, Starliner without talent or tools...

Real problem is they also lack funds and FAA will hold them hostage. So new Boeing airplanes are not going to happen, period.

It is nonsense when Mr Cahoun said so. BA has used CATIA V5/IVT/Flythru for long time for design work and fit-check. After 787 program started, they added DELMIA to add manufacturing engr/planner to create work for the mechanics to do. What BA is lacking is human capital (skilled work forces) and money/capital since they used it to buy back stock and bonus for upper management while rank and file employees suffered. I can see BA go in the direction of GE as most of current upper management are GE related.
