Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

More C-ap found in the KC-46

How hard is this, don't leave your tools, lunch, trash, condoms, or anything else in the airplane. If you brought it in, f-ing bring it out.

Between Boeing's new touchy feely management style where you can't tell at anyone for fear of hurting their feelings and the worthless union protecting those incompetents that can't f-ing clean up after themselves, we can't stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

Take some damn pride in what you do!!!

Maybe we should have a zero tolerance policy. Each airplane that has something found, one of the crew gets fired. No questions asked. It will reduce the layoffs and maybe impress our customer.

@3jml+15vU25lZ I'm the type of guy who believes leaving ANYTHING in an airplane that does not belong does damage. That could be as small as corrosion and as large as plugging a fuel jet pump and taking it down.

I'm the type of guy who takes pride in my work, who takes responsibility for my failures no matter what the consequences.

I am the type of person that believes that even though someone else has to check my work, it does not abdicate my responsibility for doing it right or making a mistake.

So basically, I am the opposite of you and most IAM.

Boeing is an exclusive elite club. Only the best of the best are hired into Boeing through our superb hiring pipeline. The trashy planes are just a cost of doing business with Seattle's finest high school grads former felons and other rejects.

In this case, it was a Boeing Quality inspector who found the FOD before delivery - not the customer who found it.

Quality should be finding it and holding the sloppy mechanics responsible, but they are not.
First time quality is not just a quality function. It is up to the mechanic to do it right and clean up after themselves.

When an airplane goes down due to fod in the systems, both QA and the mechanics will have to live with it. Which makes them no better than the BoD with the MAX.

@1nmi+15vU25lZ yep, there's the union mentality, always someone else's fault.

Bet your mom cleaned your room and your wife cleans your house.

Quality is not innocent in this, but mechanics need to take some personal responsibility.
