Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Elated Shitrix went down the toilet

Yes, I admit I am a former employee and find incredible joy in the demise of this once good corporation into the waste bin of corporate history.
It no wonder it’s gone and it has only to do with the incompetent management. They destroyed the company with one hand and stole using the other.
No wonder regular rank-n-file were so demoralized and just waiting for an exit package.
Management sucked, sucks, and deserves to be held responsible for the demise. But, they won’t, so many of them fled the sinking ship with an overinflated exit package and the rats have now infested other corporations spinning their greedy ways.
Oh well, the joy is everlasting now that Shitrix is finally gone…

I am sorry for some of the people left there, not all. Backstabbers who held on to their jobs at the expense of colleagues can GFT.

I feel for some of the folks who are still there, as the job market has tightened up significantly as most companies are holding on hiring right now in an effort to contain costs and expenses as we look to roll into a recession this year. The innovation and value that Citrix used to bring to the industry has been lacking for a while now, and is now pretty much nonexistent. I see the incremental "feature" releases on LinkedIn now and then, and it's literally versions of the same stuff we were selling (or trying to sell) 2-3 years ago. I have conversations with partners and customer CIOs every month it seems about their desire to start planning a wind-down or outright exit strategy for their Citrix environments before their next renewal.

I just feel bad for the people remaining. Yes, no one is forcing them to stay, but there are many reasons why someone would remain with Citrix/CSG including long tenure with the company. I developed deep friendships when I worked there, and I hate that they are dealing with some random S-B CEO who came out of left field…

Perhaps I'm one of few who here who really enjoyed working at Citrix, its culture, opportunities to grow, flexible work schedule, incredible people, and benefits such as Thank You days and ability to attend conferences and trade shows. I miss the Citrix that was, and glad that I was able to jump ship and run as far as possible from Cloud Software Group.

Most would say that was their experience, before they left. Any good times were always overshadowed by the many bad decisions made by inept executive leadership.

You mentioned "the demise of this once good corporation" - I'm curious, when was it good (several years ago, or more than a decade)?

It just seems that many employees didn't stay long enough to witness the 'good' times. Most of the time it was witnessing one leadership crisis after another, with a revolving door in the C-suite that never resolved the big issues that troubled the company throughout its history of decline.
