Anyone hearing this? Hearing reps will make $15 an hour max?

I hear so much complaining about helping customers with small problems because the VZW people don't get paid for it. Also hear customers being lied to, selling things to them that they don't need just so you can make more money on commission. I think they should do away with the commission altogether and go to an hourly rate. The job isn't there for you, it's there so that you can help customers. You get compensated for your time. The company doesn't owe you anything! Stop thinking that the world owes you and just do your damn job!

You jack a-- must be a Corp. Clown so far up the a-- in Corp. Greed.
Learn how to write!!!! "4pso is say"??? It's saying...not say!! And he never said $1600 2 weeks base pay. When you want to convey a thought or idea, you must write a clear sentence. Speak the Kings English!! How about throwing a few commas in there so that your sentences don't run together? #no Ebonics #6th grade education #dumbf@ck

Yes you can but it'll cost another dollar.
You make 1600 an hour? Go sell stupid somewhere else, we're all stocked up here!!
I heard Friday 29 is d-day........HUGE layoffs mostly management and sales.....not good
Can you substitute a salad or baked potato for the fries?
Going back in forth in a forum is pointless. You're calling someone stupid with no facts to back it up. Is my math wrong? It clearly isn’t, also degrading the position of a fast food worker just shows what kind of person you are. This conversation is done for me, i wish you well.
Lol @4kil. You really are completely stupid. You're on here trolling while getting a break at Arby's from working the curly fries station, I'm positive of this.
I get 38-40 % taxed on commission based checks. 600 commission + 1600 hourly = 2200.Can you do basic math? Obviously you don’t work for Verizon, so go troll somewhere else.
40% tax??? Exaggerate much? And which is it....$1600 per week after taxes or $2200 a month? That's Verizon for ya, always hiring the smartest and the best.
😂To the guy who thinks 1k commission check is a lot of money. 40% tax is 600 plus hourly which after tax is 1600. 2200 a month is a little over 26k a year. If you know anything about sales salary, then you know that amount is garbage.
Doesn’t surprise me ! There’s a lot of bad reps making $1000 comission for clerking.
Sales reps should be paid by what they sell and not what they clerk
If you worked in some of the big banks that’s how it works
It’s gonna s--- balls and definitely going to affect the high performance reps who are always money hungry which might or might not leave
Wireless is saturated. If the company wants to make more money, they have to cut expenses somewhere. You are an expense. If they cut commissions and make it an hourly rate of $15, you'd be making the same amount as someone working in the fast food industry. Should've unionized when you had the chance. The company is Mcloving it!
What I'm curious about is, if they take away commission they can file for partial unemployment. If you take what I made divided by my hours worked I made around 32/hr last year. If they reduced us to 15-20 hour I would not hesitate to file for employment. I feel like Verizon would be penalized too much to do that.
Good. Some of "solution specialist" deserves it. Commission are meant for reps who like increments sales. Not someone who stands behind a POS all day waiting for customers to come in.
Should have unionized when you had the chance!
Nobody will leave.
They been raising your quota like crazy, dumping more and more work load on you and not even giving you a pay increase to cover all the sh-- you do now and all this while laying more and more people off.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned is that a wireless worker will gladly get walked over time after time after time and never make a fuss. If you disagree prove me wrong.
This should not be a surprise to anyone. Even if it's not true right this moment, it will be. If they max at 15/hr a lot of tenured reps will be taking massive pay cuts. People will leave. It's all a part of the plan.
To make it even remotely close you would need a 10 an hour bump to make up bade commission. That ain't happening lol.
Can you post the new pay structure? Please and thank you.
Heard the same. I will be losing money with the new pay structure. Time to leave
I suspect ztq has a hidden agenda in that silly post, that of provocateur. Yet the rank and file didn't fall for it.
Nice try troll.
If you didn't see this coming. You must not know how a big company works. Especially people who still think the company is going to pay out severance. They are going to push you out. Either by scorecard or cutting... I.E commission.
What area?
Let's see. Company cuts pay. You are not happy. You quit. Company does not replace you. Store closes or goes to Authorized Reseller. Store and employees off the books (big savings to the company), and they do not have to provide severance (even more savings). Appears there is no downside for the company. What do you think?
Lots of tech savvy young folks in line to take your jobs if the pay isn't good enough for you.
Yes. I heard the same.
Everyone will just quit if they do that. Reps already make over 15 an hour before commission
