Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Bye bye

Just a regularly scheduled reminder to all the complainers that nobody is holding you here at gunpoint. You have every right to leave at any point and I encourage you to exercise that right. You will be happier, we will be happier, everybody will be happier. Thank you for your attention. As you were.

The new leader from GM will most likely try to increase headcount. But for hydrogen/clean fuel area. Oil related people will go with the wind.

OP,
You may be on the "Bye Bye NSI" list if we reduce headcount to 50,000 regular employees by the end of 2023. Just look at LinkedIn posts for the first quarter of this year to see the NSI'd employees taking their picture in front of the cube.

Year Regular Employees At End of Year
2019 74,900 (actual)
2020 72,000 (actual)
2021 63,000 (actual)
2022 54,000 (estimate)
2023 50,000 (estimate)

Post ID: @OP+1fTuxx7f If you are an active employee someone like LM should really take a look at what their workforce thinks is productive. Snarky comments on an anonymous site meant as sounding board for layoff discussions is sad. You can’t be an professional or at very least an engineer. 🥱
