I believe consolidation of some departments is under review
I heard the layoffs are not all related to Keystone XL and may be company wide. Might be a large reorganization. There is a reason they asked everyone to start working from the office in September. HR can't deliver the paperwork when your let go of working from home. TC has done an amazing job with covid and ensuring staff are safe by allowing them to work from home for so long. This is just a sad reality of our slumping economy.
AB Government gives TC billions $$$$$$ to create jobs but the company itself is laying off Albertans.

Not sure why Canada Gas? Other segments do better? US? Power and storage did worse last quarter and what?
Managers and field staff laid off today. I am aware of 10 managers and 2 constructions managers let go/given retirement packages. Targets appear to be high cost, senior employees so far. Remaining office staff will be informed tomorrow if released. Difficult times within.

Is it known in what level are layoffs senior, middle management or even coop students? How was it usually before?
As of now Canada gas. I’d imagine other groups will follow but Canada gas is bloated. To the second guy, you’re probably the real racist.
Do we know if it’s just Canada Gas or soon to come to the whole organization?
