Seriously people, a MacBook? #ge-z
Get any windows laptop you want, AMD or Intel, and install Linux on it. MacBooks are for losers...
Linux is the way, you won't regret it!
You won't have a job next week. Best not to spend any money right now.
For engineering work +1 MacBook. Also, iPad w/keyboard is pretty useful and more portable for when you don’t need a full blown laptop. I have both.
don't mess around and get a Mac, I think Intel may still get an employee discount
@wnx+1jkW9uoo - don’t spread misinformation. All applications work on Mac, there might be rare case where you might need buggy memory hungry windows. So far I haven’t run into any case where i need window machine. After 2012 my house doesn’t have any window machine.
MacBook is a no brainer for engineers.
Faster and more efficient than any Windows offerings from either Intel or AMD.
If you’re in IT or accounting or something, then maybe you need windows.
Mac Book Pro is great but you cant do anything with it. Have fun with the Apple proprietary non compatible b/s. I worked for apple we had to run windows on our macs on virtual HD to get anything done. Regardless what anyone says Intel is still the better product. For now. If apple went open source and was more compatible different story.
The real intel engineer s moved to Apple and AMD so go that way.
MacBook Pro. You won't regret it. I have it since March and fan hasn't turned on yet. Good deal for refurbished MacBook Pro with M1.
If I were you, I will still buy intel
AMD or Intel don't make laptops themselves.
Lenovo, Dell are popular brands. Apple is another company which sells laptops.
If you have access to a search engine (and know what one is), you can search the above words or ask someone to teach you how to read/write and type into a computer.
