Thread regarding AFLAC layoffs

Honest Opinion from a Non-Impacted Employee

After reading these comments, It's actually refreshing to learn that other people see this company for what it is. The Aflac PR machine pumps out so much propaganda, I was beginning to believe I was the only one to see what many here have commented about. It never ceases to amaze me that the kool aid drinkers continue to vote this company a top place to work. Nothing could be further from the truth. Across the board, Aflac leadership is some of the worst I have ever encountered. Some of the "leaders" have repeatedly failed at other positions yet they continue to be rewarded with promotions, or they're moved to another area where their incompetence can be spread. Rarely are any of them ever held accountable for poor performance. Outside leaders that come in and try to lead with common sense and logical decisions are routinely ostracized, fired, or they see the writing on the wall and get out of dodge. The company regularly places less-than-qualified individuals into jobs to further their never ending PR narrative of "Diversity." It's shameful. Good luck to all of those who have devoted so much of their lives and are now reaping the benefits of "The Aflac Way."

It is silly to compare an independent agent to a full time employee position. I'm sure the comment from Wisconsin is from an agent who has no idea what goes on behind the scenes at WWHQ and how employees are treated. That agent hasn't walked a mile in our shoes.

Wisconsin is far from HQ. The field force will soon be affected when the company in talks of buying Aflac takes over. There will be little need for sales folks.

Here in Wisconsin our leadership is AMAZING! Sorry you haven't had the same experience. I love working for Aflac!

100% truth. Many know this, yet people remain. The culture at Aflac is disgusting. Narrative-pushed promotions to add another magazine cover on the wall. The Officers look after each other and their friends. If one does not perform, they deflect and get re-orged in a head scratching promotion. F*ck the Duck. D.Amos should brand his company with the appropriate mascot, a Pig. Hey Board, social media will soon be heavy with the truth.
