Until Citizens United vs FEC is overturned the American People will continue to be in the back of the governance bus furthest from the driver. The more We the People aspire to make strides to true political equality, the further political campaign contributors drag us back to political inequality and plutocratic privilege.

Leaving or retiring from AEP is only the first step in a journey to escape authoritarianism.
There are travel agencies and relocation companies that will help you become more informed about living abroad and surrendering your US citizenship to break all ties and tax liabilities with this authoritarian regime. Why exist in America under the oppressive and inhuman rule of corporate America when you can thrive abroad and wash off the toxic culture poisoning you and your family?

@3qgf Better to keep doing the work of multiple employees so CEO and major shareholders can live like royalty off our occupational, mental and spiritual weariness and eventual exhaustion. The body, mind and soul can endure extreme stress and hardship for only so long before leaning into the grindstone of plutocratic greed and ambition becomes destructive and self-defeating. This CEO is driving the vehicle of his wealth and ambition like he stole it and when he wrecks it or blows the engine, he will just walk away because it will cost him nothing and his employees everything they have spent a lifetime achieving. That is the reality of plutocratic privileged corporate thievery. We sweat, bleed and sacrifice to build success and the latest 31st flavor of corrupt corporate culture shall once again steal our success from us.

That is precisely why when young employees look into the eyes of veteran employees all they see is emptiness and a thousand yard stare looking to the day they jump off the corporate plutocratic enrichment hamster wheel from He-l. No matter how hard and how fast you run the destination remains the same for the employees. The only question is will their be anything left to pursue your personal life, happiness and your dreams when you get there? Do not allow self-destruction to become the final destination of your AEP career.

The difference between corporate oligarchs' dream and the American dream is glaringly and garishly obvious for all to see and suffer. @3nrm Without "valued" employees no corporation is profitable. Without "valued" customers no corporation is successful. With only "valued" major shareholders a corporation becomes a wealth redistribution conspiracy destroying the symbatic relationship that strengthens our communities, our states, our nation and increases the "value" of the American Dream for all Americans. When a relationship is no longer symbatic it becomes destructive and parasitic. Has the corporate board of AEP endorsed a wealth redistribution scheme that has enriched its CEO to the tune of $36.6 million in a single year?

Is AEP operating as a ratepayer capital funding obligation broker to enrich itself, its shareholders, data centers and their shareholders exploiting and abusing their state granted monopoly status and the captive ratepayers in their service territories? Are they exploiting an unforeseen regulation vulnerability that victimizes ratepayers as a result of regulators' and state legislatures' negligence whether unintentional or intentional? Is this how a public electric utility CEO warrants a $36.6 million compensation package? I this why professional electric utility governance has been replaced with non-industry governance? Plausible deniability, we did not know it is immoral, unethical and possibly illegal because we are new to the electric utility industry?

@3mm5 A new report examining executive compensation across the utility sector shows continued increases in pay for top industry leaders in 2025.

The Energy and Policy Institute found that investor-owned electric and gas utilities paid a combined 626 million dollars to their chief executives last year. The report also indicates average CEO compensation reached 12.4 million dollars, marking an increase of nearly 16 percent compared to 2024.

Among the companies analyzed, American Electric Power reported the highest total compensation package. CEO Bill Fehrman received approximately 36.6 million dollars in 2025, according to the Energy and Policy Institute.

The report attributes a large portion of that increase to stock-based incentives designed to reward long-term financial performance and shareholder returns.

Researchers also found that since 2017, average utility CEO compensation has increased by 47 percent, outpacing broader wage growth trends.
