Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Together

For this company to really get back on its feet,it takes all of us, not 1 or 2 or 100 or 1,000. It's gonna take everyone to be on the same page standing together and participating to get up off our knees and that is hard to do because we will always have those who are negative and do not want to do what it takes, to do the job. Work can be easy for everyone if everyone works. CVS will always have these problems because no one is willing to fix the problem. We got managers who should not be managers and they are lazy as he-l. They sit in the office like they are hibernation or zombies. This takes all of us to do, a business to run correctly takes everyone to help. Not just those who will do the work while the lazy ones just sit and look. And the lazy ones are getting a free check week after week, month after month and us working are really earning our paychecks. That's not fare.

Everyone who is actually talented and hardworking has already left this dying company, including myself. I just comeback here to read these threads and remind myself of how great of the choice I made leaving CVS. During my last year with CVS I managed 2 stores for 7 months because the lazy TSM could not keep anyone long enough to train them to be a manager. If you are talented, walk you can do better.

The best advice is to leave.

The company has gotten too big that there is no cross functional communication. No one really knows what anyone else is doing. And yes we all need to be on the same page to make really change.

No innovative ideas. How about partnering exclusively with the makers of let's say wegovy or another popular dr-g. Offer it at a better price, like some allergan dr-gs are at walgreens , and you'll be rolling in profits. I can't keep that stuff in stock and half the calls are for weight loss shots. Stop forcing expanded shot quotas. Cut the amt of front store dls in half. Give back the hours. Stop giving all techs raises they don't necessarily deserve.

Don’t forget corporate leadership- they are the ones leading the current disaster. Pursing growth at all costs buying other companies and paying for it in the backs of the employees. Hiring contractors then letting them go after just 3 months? That does not create a motivated work force does it?

Managers at a store can do very little. The real change has to come at the very top.
