Thread regarding J&J (Johnson & Johnson) layoffs

Severance

I'm new here so I don't know how things work yet. Do people with under a year at J&J get severance or not if affected? Also, does anybody know if the company lays off based on who joined the last? I left a decent job to join J&J, so to say I'm nervous about these layoffs would be an understatement.

This is the second round of layoffs this year. Ridiculous. They’ve been doing them in Q1 and Q4 every year except the year that Covid was bad. If last year was so great and everyone got bigger bonuses than usual, why all the mass layoffs only a few months later? Terrible fiscal responsibility. Times must be tough having to pay all the attorneys for the myriad of endless lawsuits.

You made a huge mistake. Typically, these layoffs are a year or more in the making. JJT leadership should all be fired. They are weak and ineffective.

J&J ex’ed over 1000 people in NJ Wednesday and likely more people globally in ASPAC and EMEA. No news outlet has reported on this. Wonder why?
