@Oo3Jlxx-2kjf You forgot the Samsung Juke. I attended a launch party at which Verizon actually positioned the Samasung Juke as a competitor for ATT's exclusive iPhone. Verizon spent a ton of money on the event and actually paid these dancers and gymnastics to attend the event and walk around and do flips. I'm not making this up. It was unbelievable. The executives that were there at the time knew the Samsung Juke couldn't compete with Apple but they were pushing the company Kool-Aide extra hard.

Even though I recently left the SS Veriztanic, I read this thread daily because of amazing content like this thread. I wish Jeremy and his gang of useless drooling bafoons (aka worthless overhead) would read these comments on that wasteful morning email that goes directly into everyone's deleted trash bin. I hope Friday's numbers are so bad that people faint and scream in horror and disbelief.

Marni giving great BJ's to the rest of leadership should get an emmy award too.

Let’s see how many utterly worthless $hit products or exclusives that Verizon has created since its inception in 2000:

• Vcast (also known as freecast because customers would cancel after the free trial period)

• Get It Now – The jokes on Verizon. Get it now?

• The Verizon HUB – Get all your worthless Verizon crap pushed to your home

• Ringback tones – Really? Lame…

• The LG Chocolate – One of my Fav flops lol…

• The Microsoft Kin (another crap Verizon exclusive) I remember Erwin lost her mind over this colossal flop

• VZ Navigator – Lets see Apple and Google put this app to sleep how quickly?

• MyVerizon App – The most downloaded App ever? Not. Just rammed down customers throats as bloatware.

• Verizon One Talk. Yay, every VOIP service on earth has this, but since WE came out with it, people will line up for it.

• The Blackberry Storm (Verizon knows how to get the great exclusives). This one marked the beginning of the end for Crackberry.

• GO90 – Blow90. No description needed here to describe what a turd this is.

• HUM – Again, a product already built into cars and so many other things but Verizon thinks they are special for thinking of it after everyone else. Maybe they should make another stupid leapfrogging car commercial about it because that was so relevant to the product!

• Smart Stores – Hind sight can now call them stupid stores for the bloated price tags and retail experience fail. Destination stores were Marni’s ego set into overdrive.

• The LG Migo – also known as the Nogo for its lack of sales.

I’m sure I am leaving out some great turd products and services but my point is Verizon was successful in spite of itself up until now and could waste millions on complete garbage like this because wireless margins were huge. Now that growth has stalled and margins are starting to get squeezed this kind of crap will just bring Verizon down faster.

Verizon deserves to fail. I think it will go down in history as one of the most poorly run companies ever and was successful just through luck and timing until it all unraveled.

@2whr nailed it, as someone who is a libertarian who votes independent ONLY I love seeing both parties implode. Republicans = Democrats. No difference. Actually, the Republicans seemed to like Obama better than a guy within their own party. Start voting independent, people!!!

10 years at the company, I'm also fed up. Never seen it so bad.

Lowell really screwed the pooch here. Vodaphone buyout was so big a mistake that there's no going back now. He then followed that up with promoting Marni to lead product development, hired Diego, and is now betting on Oath to save the company. Not happening.

Now we have a bunch of EVPs more concerned about their power than actually learning the businesses they're supposed to be running. Sad.

It is pretty sad to read about so many employees wishing bad upon a company that they work for, that just leds you to believe that there is something really wrong with the top executives and manegers that run this company,,you just have to say WOW glad i dont work for them

I agree with the OP to a point, as another reply stated. This isn't a peasants problem, this is a problem with the kingdom's royalty. Blowell McAdams may be one of the most stupid, elderly, idiotic clowns that ever held a CEO position. The employees are caring and try to help. It's Blowell macdaddy, who supposedly is retiring soon, and until he does, verizon will continue to die. Screw that old faggit...

Hi, I'm the OP. I worked my a-- off for almost 20 years and was recognized by all standards as a top performer. That is not my opinion, This is a fact according my annual performance reviews. VZW's Leadership has became so toxic that I choose to voluntarily leave the organization 90 days ago. In the meantime I pray for some destruction, as I think it would be good for the company, just like a forest fire is good for the forest. The current leaders do not reflect the values of the VZW's founding fathers.

@dug a lot of this negativity was actually caused by the company, if you mistreat someone, they will root for your downfall. It's just human nature.

If the OP is or was an employee, I think it is worth asking how he came to have the negative attitude. Advising people to just quit their jobs sounds like a simple solution, but the truth is there is a right way and a wrong way to manage people. Employees are an expense, but they are also an asset especially when motivated by the right leadership. If a worker truly feels they are valued and share in a business' success, they will never root for it's failure.

There is a reason managers are paid more than the average employee; if they can't handle the task of leadership successfully, if they only view those they lead with contempt, then maybe they are the ones who need to find a different job.

Apparently the OP is not a current employee. Anyone who is wishing for destruction obviously should have never worked at the company. While many of us may not be fans of our leadership, wishing them failure is like wishing us all out of a job. If you are still an employee and iIf you are that miserable, then quit and that should help stop the bleeding. We need people to help pull us out of this mess not look at every move with a negative thought. Anyone with that mindset sounds like the idiots who vote in elections against their own self interests. You sound pretty pathetic and obviously part of the problem. Do you even have an education because you sure do sound ignorant.
