Rumor is De Soto will be shut down and they will move services performed at De Soto to Palestine since they can’t get out of the contract. Carman are an expense to the railroad they do not help move freight. Get ready for your 60 day notice.

I sure they’re looking for a way to contract everyone out. They don’t want employees anymore. I keep on seeing happy people that work here on all of our tv screen in the yard office. Yea ok we’re are those people at? They’re sure not at the location I work at. I’ve been looking at all the other layoff report sites and this is by far the worst. I feel sorry for people who work here. They’re all great people and employees. It just crazy how this company made great people hate their company. I use to love coming to work now it’s just a struggle getting here. All we hear is how they gave us a raise now do four times more work. If you don’t like it quit. I would think you would want to keep hard working intelligent individuals. But not this company. That’s why people who know better should quit you are all better than this company.
This carrier will not change anything that benefits the employees.
Too many desperate and stupid individuals put there to wear a orange cap or beanie and believe this company's bs of money and driving a brand new pickup every year and owning 2 house or more.
Eventually 2 men crews will be the thing of the past and 1 men crews will be the industry way or the highway.
Democrats are only here for now and bills for RR safety and other union gifts will be defeated by a republican.
A true RR swamp will exist.
Building America while UP cuts more jobs and tie down trains and make the customers really wait for their Freight.

I just know a lot of money was spent in legal fees to get out of Palestine and now they decide to stay? UP got there blessings from the Supreme Court this time. I guess we will see.
They don’t have to pay any fines to get out of Desoto. It’s makes business sense to invest in Palestine. Move equipment to Palestine and purchase more land. Plus there’s more rail traffic.
It would be better off for all of you to find another job. You will just have more time to do it now. This company sucks it really does all over the system. They care more about numbers than anyone’s safety I’ve worked some really sh---y jobs but since 2019 this is been far the worst company I’ve ever. I’ve been here 25yrs and looking for another place to work at. It’s not the work at all it’s all the bosses poor decision making don’t care if there employees who have been loyal work here or not. It’s honestly pathetic and sickening. How this company has become. I honestly hate going to work every day. I would rather dig ditches anymore than work for this bullsh-t company.
Well they can get out of the contract with Palestine. They will have to pay a fine, but it can be done.
I can smell the "Build Back Better" plan allready.
