Zoom stock price is at $536. Say all you want about it not deserving such a high market cap. Zoom has all the worlds attention. When you say "Zoom" people know what you are talking about. If you say "Webex" people will say, "what's that?"
Wow- how ignorant are you? #tool #oldnews #irrelevant
Cisco only acquired WebEx to peddle their network routers and network switches.
Absolutely true. That’s also why they bought camera companies and video companies (including Scientific Atlanta).
Webex failure to capture market growth during Covid is on that team, and it's people managers. With time, the bar settled do-nothing with sense of pride, arrogance, entitlement and self importance. If you don't fit that mould, you are berated, belittled, frowned upon and ultimately shown the door. It does not look like much changed after the last LR. Time to dump Cisco stock.
Cisco only acquired WebEx to peddle their network routers and network switches. The thinking back then was encouraging their B2B customers to push more video data through their pipes would result in selling more of their main bread-and-butter.
Zoom market cap is approaching Cisco. Hahahahah
ANET and ZM both basically stole from Cisco. In case of ANET, court already found them guilty.
ZM should be banned as it's a China company.
Ken Duda was a Software Engineer at Cisco for a few years. Unimpressed with what he saw at Cisco he was one of 3 who went on on to start Arista.
Arista is aggressive at focusing on quality (hardware and software) which at the moment is a sore spot for Cisco where they treat their customers as essentially beta testers. Arista prefers to stall a release than release something buggy or lacking features.
Is Zoom hiring people with route/switch background?
I did not know this. So gfy.
Did anyone not know this?
Yes that's why everyone is so up in arms about WebEx beating zoom. They just can't get over how hard this guy skullfucked cisco
be funnier still if he had been LR'd
He was sidelined at Cisco for wanting to build a comprehensive mobile app for WebEx. How ironic?
Karma for Cisco for mistreating employees via these constant LRs. Arista CEO was also a former Cisco employee. Hahahahaha.
He was VP of Engineering in webex team worked there for almost 10 years after that moved to Cisco and worked there for over 4 years and then he started Zoom.
Interesting.
Did/Is Cisco suing him for anything in the Cisco employee agreement?
