It has been brought to my attention that earlier in the week my name was mentioned as leaking the video to the press. I can confirm that I was the person that went to the P&J and Energy Voice with the video as I was sick and tired of the way DQ were treating employees. You might not agree with what I done but I don't really care and I won't lose any sleep over it so move on.

The video was the final act of contempt for me and I thank you for finally opening my eyes to what I already suspected.
To those guilty three. Aberdeen may be small in your mind, but there are many of us out there across the world still working in the industry. My past colleagues were not the only professionals you offended. You offended the whole of Aberdeen and every one from Aberdeen.
Good on you for being the "Whistleblower" and showing the world what the DQ management are.(unbelievably still there at the top)
Now....all you minions do what we're telling you and be happy we're employing you.
Get back to work y'all.
Hot Diggity Dog I'm off to pick my grapes in the Texas snow. Eeeeh haaaa !
The way DQE was being managed and once the video became public had made up employees minds that they had enough. This is the reason for high voluntary redundancy applications with myself being one after considerable service. The final straw for me was the video and could not wait to get out the door and don’t regret it one bit. Absolutely shocking de-grading / Insulting statements from top management being made about Aberdeen which once was very profitable until Houston started taking control.Yanks always no best with their b—s—.Best all other potential customers stay clear of this badly managed company.
There is experience in Aberdeen management and they are trying. The question we should really be asking is what scope does Aberdeen have. Houston are the biggest issue to Aberdeen and always have been. Aberdeen were the most profitable facility when we ran Aberdeen independently from Houston. Now the ball and chain are firmly attached and it will take a Manager of real class with true leadership qualities to allow us to break free again. It will also take Houston leadership to allow independent thinking which at the moment just isn’t in place.
The management trying to run the place without asking the employees with all the years experience how things should go and be. Managers taking over that dont know how certain departments run and trying to dictate
There is nothing essential about working for DQ at the moment furloghing 2 people means nothing just keeping people to try make a quick buck at their employees expense and health
And let’s not forget about how we are consistently breaking they law.
“If you can work from home you must work from home”
Where the reassessment on all those coming into the office who never set foot on the shop floor. Or do we need mr lean in case of an urgent welding job?
It did cost jobs 2 people were sacked because of it they did nothing wrong showed the companies leaders in their true colours and were let go absolutely shocking treatment then covid hit and its made the morale worse after the video. Even the new management are running the place like a company from the 80's just get the job done dont worry about HSE or procedure aslong as its done quick
I love working for a company where I know management don’t care about their employees. Clears my conscious about not caring about the company.
It did cost jobs, people left Dril-Quip as a direct consequence of that video and people will keep leaving as a direct consequence of that video.
“How there was nothing done about those in the video and the pathetic apology is a disgrace. It made the whole plant a worse place to work and cost people jobs”
This video never cost jobs in the last round of payoffs. Covid and the immediate cut in the oil price caused the huge loss of jobs in DQ and the oil industry. Yes the video was shocking and hasn’t painted DQ management in a good light, don’t blame job losses on this video. Oil is now increasing in price, contracts are being won (yes that does include DQ), no doubt in the coming months companies will start to look for workers to take on & yes this may included your beloved DQ you preach about so much.
It tells you a lot about the CEO's ethics when instead of punishing the people in the video for their comments he got little Tex to get rid of the person that recorded the video.
It’s cost the whole of DQ jobs.
If ethics of our leaders was viewed as a highly sought attribute some of the underhand tactics that we see every day would be banished.
The whole of DQ lacks trust at the moment, yet we think change can be made in a climate of mistrust? It just goes to show how disconnected management are from the truth of what is actually going on.
How there was nothing done about those in the video and the pathetic apology is a disgrace. It made the whole plant a worse place to work and cost people jobs
That video, and how DQ have allowed those comment about Aberdeen to go on without any retribution will not be forgotten. Never will anyone in Aberdeen trust DQ. Take a leaf out of KPGM,s book.
I know for fact there are many companies in Aberdeen that will not deal with DQ again because of that video.
Pretty sure everyone knew that anyway lol, the worst kept secret at DQ.
Our HR were just too slow to realise, as always!
