If you hate working at Enbridge do the rest of us a favor and just quit. SCM is way better now than it was when we were Spectra. I know I’m in the minority but anyone complaining about still having a job when so many in this industry have been fired or your mad because the company chose to offer incentive to leave instead of firing people is an entitled brat whose probably dragging others down.

It's truly sad that so many people are so unhappy to be employed during a time when so many are losing their jobs and struggling to make ends meet. I have never been employed by a company that allowed people to select whether they were interested in being let go as opposed to being laid off indiscriminately. Not entirely perfect but so much better than the alternative. I wasn't chosen for the Program but am so grateful to still be employed.
Business Partners maintain the relationship with the BU, fix problems, and find solutions. Other departments dump their excess work on them when they don’t feel like doing something. It is the Business Partner’s job to keep the BU from complaining up to their VPs because there is such poor customer service in other supply chain departments.
There are so many people, so many roles, all tripping over each other, even being in SCM I have no idea what Business Partners do. To me it’s just another bandaid on poor organization and lack of leadership.
What do SCM Business Partners do?
Don’t worry, they have plans to use bots for transactional work and outsource some of it. Many of those positions will become non existent soon. That’s why they have Business Partners, like HR and IT with just a help desk and outsourcing.
Leadership and Management are at fault. Too much nepotism and unqualified Team Leads. The Group is far too large. Buyers and Expediters in abundance a very large overhead far too many people even with the people taking the payouts.
According to the list, 24 are leaving SCM. We were told approximately 30 give or take applied. So approximately 6 in SCM were denied.
PT is an a$$. If there were only 30 that applied and some were declined, that means someone above drank the kool-aid he was serving.
I guess we will find out when we see how many names are on the “official” list of those leaving for VWO. After the deadline, before anyone was notified, PT stated on Yammer that roughly 30 people applied. Let’s see how many they are letting go...
- W. is a joke of a leader in SCM. He's been known to tell his colleagues to not to make him look bad. What a cowered. Sad thing is he tends to argue with people with 10 times more SCM experience than he has, which he is too naive to realize that he's making himself look bad. What a joke. And nobody is able to do anything about it. P.T. is hands off, given the politics up top. #SCM lives matter to.
All problems start at the leadership. Anything at my level is just a symptom of poor leadership.
Why is SCM such a cesspool? Is it the work? The leadership? The internal culture?
only problem is SCM is a revolving door and the people there haven't been there very long, or long enough to get the max 52wks or near that.
I am sure they did because I know so many people that want out of the cess pool that is SCM.
I like the word “fester” because that is exactly what is happening.
It definitely did not have to be a lottery. That's literally the worst way to deal with people's lives. There are very smart people in the company than can delegate down through the levels to work with individuals to execute a program like this. By having a system that gives false hope, it just shows a true disregard for individuals. Funny thing is that they just keep rolling out new items and projects to try and minimize the impacts, but 300 hundred tattered people will fester and should have the same just dealings that the 800+ got.
Whether it was a “lottery” or not is a matter of opinion, but there were more that wanted to go than were accepted. My guess is it was way over prescribed because SCM people aren’t happy.
