Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

John Mackey we know it's you.

Does anyone else notice how every business media outlet is posting about how whole foods is failing and stock is down to half of what it was in 2013 and yet the motley fool keeps publishing rah rah articles on how amazing whole foods is. Funny John Mackey is on the board there. The delusion that runs this company is why it's failing.

Didn't Mackey say that he was a 'victim', in some context? Can't find the article, but I did see that in print and couldn't believe my eyes. It was involving all of the crooked bullshit he's allowed the past year...

Motley Fool should rename themselves "You're the Fool" because a company they are supposed to be evaluating has its co-freakin'-CEO on their BOARD! The SEC needs to get involved. Please, someone shake Rahodeb out of his stupor.

Even TheStreet.com has thrown in the towel, noting that the stock is at 2011 levels and the business faces numerous challenges from lack of consumer trust in the company to withering competition from Kroger (and others) who have invaded the natural/organic space. As CNN just pointed out this week, the company is still known as Whole Paycheck and organic at Publix or Costco is just as organic as it is here. Most people see absolutely no reason to pay more. We know that nothing has changed internally with regard to so-called leadership. We know that the company flushed any chance at meaningful improvement down the toilet by firing thousands of great dedicated people, leaving in place the privileged egotistical jerks and the insane regional structures. Then there's the $1 billion hole in the treasury that went to buy stock for the execs. Oh but over at Motley Fool (which severely damaged its integrity with this butthead move), Rahodeb sits on the board so it's all happy talk and opportunity. It was unacceptable for them to offer him a role on the board and it was unacceptable for him to take it. He should resign from Motley Fool immediately.
