Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

What Can Brown Do For You

Scott Brown should have been our CEO. Instead, we are stuck with a tiny man that doesn’t seem to understand sales or engineering. Our board jumped the shark on SM. We get what we deserve with that choice.

Can someone remind me of what SB said in the Townhall? I vaguely recall the gin n tonic comment. I had a laugh and that was it. I don’t remember it being anything to fuss about. What was it that got the woke crowd in a panty twist?

What field? They were all let go.

There's lots of examples of people who were making a big positive impact who ended up leaving because the value they brought to the company wasn't recognized by leadership. SB was a highly visible example but there were many more before him and many since.

SB received an enthusiastic standing ovation in Vancouver after his candid presentation to the field outlining the previous year’s failures and an oath to effectuate change. SB did not become CEO b/c he made a comment in the Townhall about HA and G&Ts that no one except one overly sensitive inarticulate person found “offensive”. SB didn’t become CEO b/c the BOD is incapable of making decisions that reflect their legal and primary purpose: Increasing shareholder value and putting the shareholders’ interests ahead of their own. At that, they have failed abysmally for over a decade.

You mean apologizing to that virtue signaling clown? I'll admit I was a bit disappointed SB didn't get him fired instantly.

It's hard to pick the worst move the board made the last ten years, but passing on SB was probably the worst.....SM is horrible, and embarrassment every time he speaks in public and he is too weak to cut HA, NC, and JW so we are stuck with this team for awhile....jump ship now. All my colleagues who have gone to AWS and Snowflake love working for real cloud companies. #CloudFirstHaHaHa

SB is doing great at FF and has demonstrated growth and results that we missed out on. High integrity, great with customers and partners. He introduced servant leadership through actions, not words. What did we get? We get our current bozo, the head of customer services from a mid-size security firm, and a rookie leadership team. SB has more integrity and professionalism in his little finger than our current ELT combined. It will only be a matter of time before the BOD comes under the spotlight for consecutive bad hires and poor shareholder performance. SB and FF made the right move to TDC in SM, but not so much.

Scott Brown might have been our CEO if not for the mistake he did in the townhall.
He said things what reduced the people view of him and that made him lose the CEO position.
